At Titan Airways we are in the final stages of completing a £400,000 refurbishment of our Boeing 757 business class interior in order to deliver even greater comfort and convenience to our specialist charter clients who utilise our all business class configuration.
Aircraft interior specialists, Airline Services Limited (ALS), have been selected to overhaul the current seats; a process which involves the replacement of various mechanical components, the fitting of new seat foams and the updating of the upholstery with new pale grey leather seat covers.
In addition, the installation of an electrical modification and wiring will mean all of the seats will be equipped with their own in-seat power including a selection of two and three pin sockets and USB power points. The in-seat power system, which has been supplied by Astronics , will enable passengers to run and recharge electronic devices such as laptops, tablets and phones.
The business class configuration of the aircraft will remain as it is today with 76 and 80 seat options. While both configurations give passengers a generous 50 inch seat pitch and full recline at each row, the 76 seat option includes two club four sections at the front of the cabin.
The new business class seats will also be used in our split class configuration (pictures 5, 6 & 7) above), which offers 40 business class seats at the front of the aircraft with a 41 inch seat pitch and either 108 or 118 economy seats at a 31 inch seat pitch in the remainder of the main cabin.
The modifications will be complete and in place by the end of this month.
