A sustainable future

Our commitments today for a better tomorrow

We are conscious of the environmental impact of the aviation industry and are committed to reducing the impact of our business.

We support Sustainable Aviation, a long-term strategy which sets out the collective approach of UK aviation in tackling the challenge of a cleaner, quieter, smarter future for our industry.

We have begun our sustainability journey and, in line with the UK aviation industry’s targets, are committed to net zero by 2050 with interim decarbonisation of 15% by 2030 and 40% by 2040.

These are some of the actions we are taking today for a better tomorrow.

The environment

In the air

We are upgrading our fleet with the quietest, most fuel-efficient passenger aircraft available today, including the Airbus A321neo, three of which have been introduced since 2020. The neo boasts unbeatable fuel efficiency and the lowest noise footprint of any aircraft in its class.

We are also leading the way in reducing carbon emissions from our air freight operations. In 2020 we became the first carrier in the northern hemisphere – and one of the first in the world – to operate the Airbus A321P2F. The aircraft is the first of its size to have containerised loading in both of its two decks, offering best-in-class economics, reduced carbon emissions and a lower noise footprint.

In 2021 we operated our first flight using SAF, carrying a UK Government delegation from the G20 in Rome to COP26 in Glasgow. Since 2023, we have had the use of a dedicated SAF bowser at our London Stansted base. Since January 2025, our fuel suppliers in the UK have been working in compliance with the Government’s SAF mandate. One of the most ambitious mandates on SAF in the world, it sets out legal obligations for suppliers to progressively increase proportions of sustainable fuel, from 2% of total jet fuel in 2025 to 10% in 2030, and 22% in 2040.

We have introduced smart flight planning systems to deliver more fuel-efficient flights. We perform Continuous Descent Approaches (CDA) as much as possible to reduce aircraft noise, fuel burn and emissions. We are committed to continually improving quieter and cleaner flying practices through ongoing pilot training.

We are reducing the use of plastics onboard our flights by, whenever possible, replacing plastic with bamboo cutlery and replacing plastic meal boxes with sustainable cardboard boxes. Reusable China, melamine, stainless steel and linen napkins are also preferred to single-use alternatives. Water is available in sustainable recyclable paper cartons on request.

On the ground

We continue to make strides in reducing our environmental impact of our fleet maintenance activity by dry washing our aircraft, thereby significantly reducing our water consumption and the risk of contaminants entering the water system. We are also one of only three Stansted-based operators to have received approval to carry out engine compressor washes. This approval is largely attributed to the use of the Juniper wash system which, in preventing any wash water from entering the ground or watercourse, meets the stringent standards required by the UK’s Environment Agency.

We are reducing our energy consumption by moving to new energy-efficient headquarters. We purchased new premises in 2024 and moved in May 2025. Our new premises have been renovated in line with the UK’s stringent Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) targets. Our engineering facility has also been upgraded with new and improved glazing and insulation.

Used staff uniforms are given to a local school to provide to a charitable organisation for recycling, providing funds for the school to purchase educational books and sports equipment. Used aircraft parts are refurbished or recycled where safe to do so. Paper, cardboard and packaging is collected and recycled from our offices and our engineering facility.

We are facilitating environmentally conscious travel for our people through our electric vehicle scheme. Since 2024 we have been working in partnership with Tusker, a prominent provider of electric vehicles and market leaders in salary sacrifice schemes, to offer our staff electric vehicles at affordable prices.

Our people are the key to our success.

We attract and retain the top talent in the industry, not only because what we do is exciting, but also because we are committed to maintaining a safe, secure, happy, healthy work environment for our people. One in which everyone is supported and valued.

We aim to have a positive social impact through the opportunities we create here at Titan and in the wider community.

These are some of our commitments to our colleagues and our community.

People & community

We want to pass on our passion to, and open doors for, the next generation of aviation professionals. We frequently attend careers fairs and interview days at local schools and colleges, to excite young people about, and prepare them for, careers in our industry. We also provide additional educational support to specialist education facilities, including Stansted Airport College (SAC) and Stansted’s Aerozone. We’re proud to offer work experience placements and apprenticeships to students from SAC and other local colleges, helping young people take their first steps in the industry.

We invest in our people and their future. We provide ongoing career development programmes to enable our people to further their qualifications and reach their career goals. We also have an internal company backed cadet programme for anyone wishing to commence their flying career. We are proud members of the Women in Aviation and Aerospace Charter and regularly support initiatives and events.

We have created the best team in the industry. Through our in-house training, which goes above and beyond regulatory requirements, we successfully build competence, confidence, and strong working relationships. We value each other’s opinion and hold listening groups to ensure everyone’s voice is heard. We organise social and family events to show our appreciation for everyone’s contribution.

We’re committed to supporting each other through tough times. We have created an internal peer support programme to help anyone who is struggling. This is a programme where volunteers here are trained in Peer Mentoring and certified in Mental Health First Aid.

We’re committed to playing our part in preventing human trafficking. Our crews are trained and supported to recognise and act on suspected human trafficking, when it matters most.

We believe in supporting those in need. As a business we raise money for, and make pledges to, charities, such as Young Lives Versus Cancer. Our people also regularly give their time and effort to support communities in the under-privileged regions we operate, by collecting and distributing supplies including clothing, stationery and toys.
