Titan Airways signs up to electric vehicle scheme with Tusker

Leading charter airline, Titan Airways, has announced its partnership with Tusker, a prominent provider of electric vehicles (EVs) and market leaders in salary sacrifice schemes.

In an effort to further reduce its carbon footprint, Titan Airways has committed to offering electric vehicles for its staff. Through its collaboration with Tusker, Titan Airways will offer eligible employees the opportunity to join the electric vehicle company car scheme, facilitating efficient and environmentally conscious travel for its team.

The introduction of the scheme represents a generous new offering for Titan’s people, with Titan staff able to get a brand-new electric car built to order, or from a wide range of stock vehicles available at short notice. All Tusker cars come complete with insurance, replacement tyres, road tax (if applicable), routine servicing and maintenance, as well as RAC breakdown cover, for a fixed monthly amount, taken via a salary sacrifice arrangement.

With EVs on the Tusker scheme also only currently attracting 2% Benefit in Kind, employees will be able to choose an affordable car, while also saving money on tax and NI in the process.

Liz Austin, HR Director at Titan Airways, said “We’ve been working really hard over the past year, in consultation with all our team members, to ensure we are improving our suite of benefits and policies which have a positive impact for our people. We’re really excited about the introduction of the new EV scheme with Tusker, both for the positive environmental impacts it will bring as we continue to move toward a more sustainable future, and for our people, who will be able to get a fantastic vehicle at great value.”
