Titan talks turbulence on The One Show

If you watch The One Show you may very well have caught Captain Matt Wilson making an appearance alongside the one and only Chesney Hawkes for a special feature dedicated to clear-air turbulence.

The One Show reached out to Titan to ask if we could help with an upcoming report on turbulence to reveal to viewers what happens in the cockpit during this natural phenomenon and how the flight deck ensure the safety of the passengers and crew.

Titan jumped at the chance to talk all things turbulence and suggested taking Chesney for a flight in the simulator to explain why this is a very normal and safe part of air travel.

Captain Matt Wilson said: “It was a pleasure to fly with Chesney on The One Show and have the opportunity to provide some reassurance around turbulence.

“It’s great to see media such as The One Show keen to cover topics such as this, as most of us will experience turbulence at some point and like anything, without any knowledge about what it is, it can cause unnecessary concern.

“The reality is that for pilots and crew, turbulence is a completely normal event during our working day and we know exactly what we need to do to keep everybody safe.

“Thank you to The One Show for inviting me on and for Chesney for being such a fantastic companion in the flight deck.”

Our thanks to Matt for his fascinating insight into clear-air turbulence and piloting Chesney’s simulated flight. We’re sure you’ll agree he was a natural on TV but please don’t swap air travel for the airwaves, the skies need you!
