We strongly recommend that you take out separate insurance for special items or sporting equipment.
Pushchairs, car seats and travel cots
We are happy to carry collapsible pushchairs, car seats and travel cots free of charge on our flights as hold luggage. Buggies and pushchairs may be taken to the aircraft door for boarding, but then must be placed in the hold. They must be tagged at check-in.

Ski carriage
Please contact your tour operator to arrange ski or snowboard carriage at least seven days prior to travel. Please note a charge may be payable for this. Ski carriage entitles passengers to an additional 18 kilos hold baggage allowance on top of the standard 20 kilos.
Avalanche rescue backpacks
Avalanche packs must be checked in as hold luggage. They cannot be carried in the cabin. Approval for carriage in the hold is based on the pack meeting IATA Dangerous Goods stipulations and, in particular:
- each passenger is permitted only one avalanche rescue backpack containing a cylinder of compressed gas in Division 2.2
- the avalanche rescue backpack may also be equipped with a pyrotechnic trigger mechanism containing not more than 200mg net of explosives in Division 1.4S
- the backpack must be packed in such a manner that it cannot be accidentally activated
- the air bags within the backpack must be fitted with pressure-relief valves
Golf clubs
Carriage of golf clubs must be arranged in advance via your tour operator. There may be a charge for this. Titan Airways does not accept any liability for the carriage of golf clubs and bags or any damage that may be incurred during transportation or, in the case of refusal of carriage, storage of the item. Acceptance of carriage will be dependent on space in the aircraft hold on the day of travel.
Bicycles
Bicycles must be pre-booked in advance through your tour operator at least seven days prior to travel. There may be a charge for this. You must ensure that your bike is packed in an appropriate bike box or bag, the wheels must be removed and enclosed in the same package and the handlebars must be parallel to the frame. It may also be necessary to remove pedals subject to the type of bicycle. The bicycle may be refused carriage if not packed correctly or the baggage capacity of the aircraft is exceeded.
Titan Airways does not accept any liability for the carriage of bicycles or any damage that may be incurred during transportation or, in the case of refusal of carriage, storage of the item.
Musical instruments
May be carried in the hold subject to space. Small instruments may be carried in the cabin. Please notify your tour operator at least seven days prior to travel of your requirements. Titan Airways does not accept any liability for the carriage of musical instruments or any damage that may be incurred during transportation or, in the case of refusal of carriage, storage of the item.
Wedding cakes and dresses
May be carried in the cabin in addition to normal hand luggage at your own risk. Please notify your tour operator of your requirements at least seven days prior to travel.
