Titan Airways operate charter flights on behalf of the following major UK ski tour operators:  Crystal Ski Holidays; Esprit Ski; Inghams; Neilson; Ski Total; Skiworld and Mark Warner.

All of our ski flights are tour operator charters with 100% of the capacity sold to the above companies - flight seats are not available to purchase from Titan Airways.

If your flight number starts with the letters ZT then you are flying with us and we are looking forward to welcoming you onboard this winter.

A buy onboard kiosk service is provided for our ski passengers wishing to purchase light refreshments.  As well as a choice of hot and cold drinks, our kiosk includes crisps, nuts, olives chocolate bars and a selection of snack boxes.

Check-in:  Titan Airways ski flights depart from the South Terminal at London Gatwick, from Terminal 1 at Manchester and from the main terminal at Stansted. Check-in opens 3 hours prior to departure at UK airports, 2 hours prior at overseas airports, and closes promptly 40 minutes prior.  There is no online check-in option.  Advanced passenger information (passport data) is collected at check-in.  There is no facility to do this prior to departure.

Seating:  If you have a specific seat request or requirement, please contact your tour operator.  Your tour operator may raise a charge for pre-selecting your seat.  When no particular seat request is received via our tour operator partners, Titan Airways will make best endeavours to seat passengers who are travelling on the same booking together.

Please find below the baggage allowances applicable on all our ski flights.

Hold Baggage:  All passengers over 2 years of age* are entitled to carry 20kg of hold baggage.  When no ski carriage has been purchased ski boots must form part of the 20kg allowance but may be carried in a separate bag. We are happy for passengers travelling together to pool their baggage allowances however carriage of any single item weighing more than 32kg will be refused due to EU health and safety regulations.

*Under 2s are entitled to a free 10kg hold baggage allowance.

Ski Carriage:  Ski / snowboard carriage is charged by the tour operator.  Please contact your tour operator directly to arrange carriage of such equipment at least 7 days prior to travel.  Ski carriage entitles passengers to an additional 18kg hold baggage allowance on top of the standard 20kg.  This should be sufficient to cover both skis and boots and we are happy for equipment to be carried either in a single bag or separately in a ski bag and boot bag.

Excess Baggage:  Titan do not charge for excess baggage.  However carriage of excess baggage will only be undertaken subject to space and availability on the day.  Please note carriage of any single item weighing more than 32kg will be refused due to EU health and safety regulations.

Hand Baggage:  All passengers over 2 years of age* are entitled to carry a single item of hand baggage weighing up to 10kg and measuring no more than 22 in (56 cm) long, 18 in wide (45 cm) and 10 in (25 cm) deep. Ski boot bags are permitted in the cabin provided that the bag is your only item of carry-on baggage and provided that it does not exceed the prescribed weight and size restrictions. Hand baggage is subject to current governmental security regulations.

*Under 2s are not entitled to a hand baggage allowance.

Pushchairs, wheelchairs, car seats & travel cots:  We are happy to carry wheelchairs, collapsible pushchairs, car seats and travel cots free of charge on Titan Airways ski charter flights as hold luggage.  If you wish to keep your pushchair with you until you board the aircraft, please notify check-in staff to check that this is possible.

Avalanche Rescue Backpacks:

Avalanche packs are permitted, as either hand or hold baggage.  Approval is based on the pack meeting IATA Dangerous Goods stipulations and in particular the following:

One avalanche rescue backpack per person containing a cylinder of compressed gas in Division 2.2.

The avalanche rescue backpack may also be equipped with a pyrotechnic trigger mechanism containing not more than 200mg net of explosives in Division 1.4S.

The backpack must be packed in such a manner that it cannot be accidentally activated.

The air bags within the back pack must be fitted with pressure relief valves.

Injuries:  Should you injure yourself in any way during your holiday, please ensure that you obtain a “fit to fly” certificate from the doctor who treated you.  Without such documentation we may not be able to carry you.

Those in casts (traditional plaster or modern resin) will only be allowed to fly if the cast was fitted more than 48hours before the flight.  Your “fit to fly” will need to testify to when the cast was fitted. In cases where the cast has been fitted within 48 hours of the flight, carriage will only be permissible if the cast is split down its full length. Having a split cast does not negate the need to present a “fit to fly”.

If you sustain an injury that prevents you from sitting in a regular aircraft seat, you will need to organise extra seats on your flight - extra legroom seats are not suitable for injured passengers and no obstructions are permitted in the aisle. Extra seats will usually be arranged by your insurance company who will need to purchase the seats from your tour operator.

Please advise your tour operator of any wheelchair or special assistance requirements.

If you require any further information about your ski flight please contact your tour operator, call Titan Airways dedicated ski flight line 01279 669607 or e-mail skiflights@titan-airways.co.uk
